Indiana Jones Film with live Orchestra to open Festival of Arts BOCA

BOCA RATON (CBS12) — Picture this...

A professor of archeology and "obtainer of rare antiques" named Indiana Jones sets his sights on a treasure called the Golden Idol in a dark tomb. He switches the artifact out for a sack of sand, and all seems well... for a matter of five seconds.

Stones from the ceiling begin to fall, spears shoot out from the walls, and Jones finds himself met with a number of "booby traps" set up to kill thieves.

Jones looks back as a massive stone boulder is rolling after him ready to crush any chance of escaping. He runs ferociously away from the oncoming threat with the Golden Idol in hand. And just in the nick of time, Indiana Jones leaps forward into safety.

Now just imagine watching that thrilling cinematic moment to the tune of a live orchestra... Count us in!

That's exactly how the opening night of the 10th Annual Festival of the Arts BOCA will begin. The Festival will show the classic movie Raiders of the Lost Ark with John Williams' epic score performed live to picture by a full symphony orchestra.

The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra will be playing the movie's music live led by Conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos.

It's a special viewing to celebrate the original Indiana Jones film's 35th Anniversary.

You can relive the magic on Friday March 4th at 7:30 p.m. in the Mizner Park Amphitheater.

It's a family-friendly feature, and kids will have a chance to win prizes during a Raiders Treasure Hunt at 6:00 p.m.
