Richard Haass & James Stavridis: A Conversation on Global Events

Monday, March 7 | 7:00 PM

Mizner Park Amphitheater

Our difficult times would seem ripe for US leadership, for a new, internationalist, “sink or swim together” worldview. But US foreign policy over the past decade has been guided instead by a “rejection of internationalism.”

Two of our country's most influential foreign policy thinkers – Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, and retired four-star Navy admiral James Stavridis – join us to discuss global events.

The talk will be moderated by Tom Hudson, of WLRN.

It is pretty difficult not to look at our world today and pithily conclude that “it is a mess.” It would seem a time ripe for US leadership, yet it seems to be a time of “rejection of internationalism.”
