Elise Feldman is the founder of the Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater (“AXCBT”) and of the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy (“APAA”). Both are part of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center, in Deal Park, NJ where Elise serves on the Board of Directors.
AXCBT is an innovative company whose vision was formed by co-founder, Gabriel Chajnik, its Director and Choreographer. Some of its original productions include Midsummer Night’s Dream, Alice in Wonderland, Jungle Book, Nutcracker Rocks, Polar Express and Something’s Coming.
APAA was formed during the pandemic to give students dance classes while homebound. The excitement grew so that it is now a tuition program in both dance and theater arts. The classes take place at the AXCBT Studio at Bell Works, in Holmdel, NJ.
Elise’s dance training was in Graham technique, including at the Martha Graham school in NYC at Martha’s invitation. Elise has choreographed summer stock productions in Pittsburgh of “Pal Joey” and “Guys and Dolls”, consulted with the Pittsburgh Ballet, and led the Israeli Dance Troupe “Rishona” in Pittsburgh, PA.
Elise is also President of FBS Consultants, Inc, Regional VP of Economic Group Pension Services, Inc. a wealth advisor at 1792 Wealth Advisors (Raymond James), a Secretary on the Board of the Small Business Council of America, and a Board member of the Jewish Federation of Middlesex and Monmouth Counties, NJ.
