The tent is up at the Mizner Park Amphitheater which could only mean one thing... The 12th Annual Festival of the Arts BOCA is only 1 month away.
We wanted to find out more about this German designed and manufactured tent, a temporary fixture at Mizner Park each and every year, so we spoke to Darin Scott, Venue Coordinator of the Amphitheater, and learned some interesting facts.
How many hours does it take to fully install the tent?
"Well, this year’s installation is a record! The structure was up in two work days. Previous years were three days of construction."
How many people does it involve?
"About fifteen people each day to erect the structure."
What is it made of?
"The frame is of an aircraft grade T6 aluminum."
How much wind power can it withstand?
"Three second 90 MPH gusts and 75 MPH sustained winds."
How long will it be up for?
"We have it scheduled to be removed April 19th, so right at three months."
See you under the tent!
