Bill McKibben: Our Changing Climate

Tuesday, March 8 | 7:00 PM

Mizner Park Amphitheater

Of all the challenges the planet faces, none is as large as its fast-heating climate – and no one has worked longer or harder than Bill McKibben to document and fight the ever-growing crisis.

McKibben brings a very important voice to the study of our planet’s present and future, because all that he writes, all that he does, is grounded in hope. In his heartfelt, hopeful talks, he offers realistic approaches to saving our planet, as individuals, of course, but also as thoughtful members of a mobilized group.

The author of 15 books and recipient of the Right Livelihood Prize, sometimes called the “alternative Nobel,” McKibben is one of the world's foremost environmentalists, and one of our country's most compelling truth-tellers.

McKibben – whose work is frequently described as lucid, engaging, funny, witty, never hectoring or hyperbolic – joins us to speak about climate change and where we are heading.
